Precipitation systems are a time tested method for the removal of solids, including heavy metals, from a liquid waste stream. The process requires adjusting the pH of the wastewater to reduce the solubility of dissolved metal and encourage settling. The resulting sludge produced by this process is de-watered with a filter press and the pH adjusted effluent can be discharged to sewer or further processed for recycling.
Our highest priority in the design of any system is compliance with environmental laws. Systems are designed to be flexible and will be useable for future waste streams while providing cost effective removal of solids and heavy metals today. Systems for additional treatment, (chrome reduction and cyanide destruction) are offered to provide compliance of appropriate effluent regulations.
The 15 gpm Hydroxide Precipitation System includes two 3000 gallon batch treatment tanks with an operator platform between them, an oil separator, and all the ancillary equipment such as the transfer pump, filter press, chemical feed pumps, and operator safety equipment.
The 8" color touch-panel HMI provides plenty of screens and information for the operator, while the Ethernet enabled PLC provides solid control and remote monitoring capability.
Our design team can custom fit a process to almost any application. Give us a chance to design an approach for you. We apply the rules of business to keep our system proposals realistic, and we apply the correct technologies, in the correct order to reach all your goals for water quality.
